About Me
Hi, I am Tyler
As a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern, I specialize in curiously navigating the relational challenges you may have. This could be with your partner, family members, community, business, or your own mind and body. More specifically, I specialize in working with high-pressure professionals, women’s hormonal and menstrual health, medical-related issues, and hypnotherapy. You can learn more about my specialties below.
Your experience is unique, and you deserve to be heard. Having experienced my own moments of darkness throughout my life, I'm passionate about helping you. My commitment to making a difference in others' lives has shaped my therapeutic approach and curiosity.
Together, we will explore the small steps needed to create the life and relationships you truly want.
My Specialties
-
Often times individuals in high-stress roles are perceived to have it all together. On the surface, you may appear confident and composed, but underneath you could be experiencing chronic anxiety, anger, stress, insomnia, self-doubt, depression, trauma or burnout that no one sees.
Additionally, leadership roles and busy schedules can impact emotional connection in relationships.I am here to support you through this. Together, we will walk through and explore the deeper patterns to create a more sustainable path for you and your relationships.

I specialize in hormone related mental health and physical challenges. This includes symptoms from PMS, PMDD, birth control, menstrual pain (endo, adeno, PCOS, etc.), etc. These challenges at times can bring anxious and dark thoughts, somatic symptoms, and work and relationship distress.
I support individuals, couples, and families. I help gain clarity about symptoms, prepare for cyclical changes, and develop healthier ways to nurture relationships.
Additionally, I support the partners of individuals suffering from menstrual-related health challenges. -
As a medical family therapist, I assume that health and relationship problems are interconnected. The relations between physical health and mental health are complex and influenced by other relational and social systems.
This approach is a collaborative approach to medical problems traditionally treated in a health care system with physicians in medical settings. This includes coping with chronic pain or illness, navigating grief, ambiguous loss, improving communication with health care providers, anticipatory loss, etc. -
Nothing in the hypnosis you have seen on TV or performed for entertainment purposes will happen in this space.
Clinical hypnotherapy is a respectful and collaborative approach to transforming problematic thoughts, behaviors, and somatic symptoms with an emphasis on the mind-body connection.
Who am I outside of the therapy room?
I deeply enjoy any time spent outside, especially near the ocean. I enjoy cooking, reading, writing, gardening, and photography. Before becoming a therapist, I was a photographer. Telling stories and capturing the world through my camera lens brought me, and still brings me, such joy. There is something incredibly beautiful about capturing a moment in time in a way that portrays a story words often cannot convey.
I feel I have lived many lives and tried just about anything I thought could be fun. I have traveled to other countries and lived in Australia. I enjoy learning about others, what they have overcome, and listening to how they have managed to keep going despite their hardships.
“We cannot change, we cannot move away from what we are, until we thoroughly accept what we are. Then change seems to come about almost unnoticed.”
